Some thoughts, mainly random rantings. I was 23 when I started this blog, and as time goes on some thoughts will remain the same, some views may change when I am no longer the observer but actually the performer, in this play that is life. These thoughts simply reflect a bit of the chaos that plays through my mind every day as I take a moment to observe the little details that I encounter along my path.

Peaceful warrior and some other considerations
I watched this movie a while ago and while the story was entertaining it was clichéd,
The story of the competitor who gets knocked out of the competition , and is then given time to think and realize himself/herself is abundant throughout literature and the movie world.
For the movie the ending was made to be happy which was expected.
I have actually more criticism than anything else for this movie.
Aside from the line 'take out the trash' there is also another that was mentioned in the beginning of the movie that struck me about how some are never fully awake and are dreaming, I believe that this lies in that we are mentally trapped in the fears and dreams of the past or future to not experience the present, which then supports taking out the trash.
Take out the trash to mean to remove the fears that prevent us from reaching our goals, the fears built from the criticism of one and the concern of another.
Everyone will perceive this movie differently and I have a feeling that mainly the person who has experienced the pain of injury or joy in accomplishment can possibly recognize or identify with it, so too, no two people can be expected to observe the exact same things.
However, these are some more thoughts on the movie, everyone has their own views on what humans are, in the movie we are depicted as warriors, I think that mainly we are horses since we possess great strength but much of it is not used to build ourselves since we are made to be tame by society.
In the movie his friend said:
'you ran a red light', (this was repeated)
there are signs in life that either tell us to stop-think-act or to slow down, it is when we ignore these and rush for the fleeting gold that we find ourselves thrown out of the game completely.
It is when we are recuperating and nursing our wounds that we will notice what was happening while we were speeding through life.
While speaking with a friend one day we discovered this analogy, like a horse that is trained to win because there is the promise of a treat at the end. Notice the race horse with the harness that covers his peripheral vision so that he can just see straight ahead. Too many of us will rush through life, racing and like the horse only noticing the path straight ahead, horses have peripheral vision, but society dictates what is perceived as success so we do not notice what is around us but what is right ahead instead. But what if during the race, the horse stumbles and this harness is broken so that now the peripheral vision becomes predominant and the horse notices a vast field filled with all sorts of creatures and different flora and fauna, the horse now has a choice he is seeing this field but he does not know what lies beyond, if he is very well trained he will simply get up and continue the race to get his treat since he knows that it will be at the end, but what if the horse decides to explore what may lie in the field? Everyone would say this horse is not tame, it needs to be trained, why so that it should behave like what we have decide is the right behavior for it? So too as the horse is naturally wild, so too are our spirits and our souls but too many times we become tame and simply rush for the 'treat' instead of deciding to explore what surrounds us.
There was also the bell toll throughout the movie,
a director can use this to signify change or death, I am not sure of its significance though since I have only watched this once.
It is nice to slow down sometimes and come to a complete stop, then utilize the simple
STOP-THINK-ACT
Now to contradict myself
To act without thinking is a good thing, I sometimes do this to see what is my natural state, like a particle that has no force acting upon it to see which direction it will travel in so to I just sometimes like to see what I would do. To think then gives that particle direction and it becomes impossible sometimes to see what else lies in the other directions. Also in analyzing everything there is merit. It is fun to just be completely free where thinking wouldn't be required to mingle with society; hence I think an asylum or absolute solitude may be a wonderful place to discover oneself.
I think solitude allows one the ability to meditate more because (and I know that I may sound borderline crazy here) that even if you are completely alone in a place, people leave behind their energies, and these energies have a way of being absorbed into our mental processes therefore it always feels as if I am surrounded by people even though I want to scream out for solitude.
On having all of our needs fulfilled, disjointed thoughts
I do not know what will happen if a person's mental and physical needs were satisfied. It is inherent for humans to always want or need, and at the point where it would be met, I think that the person would be at a disadvantage because then they would lose 'desire' and ‘passion’, which I think constitutes to human existence.
I have found that anger reveals a person's true nature and it is almost impossible to hide, but essentially what I mean by this is what reveals the nature is what makes them angry.
I fear both those who are sane and those who are not. I worry about the sane ones who conform without realizing why they are doing it but actually see an imposed belief as their own, in other words the brainwashed sanity and I worry about those who have actually stepped beyond the boarder of apparent reality and inflict harm on those still in it.
I sometimes wonder what will happen if there were no bible (in general religious doctrine) or concepts of good and evil, how society would be shaped. I think unfortunately there would be a lot of people who would simply step over to a path of absolute chaos.
How many would perform a good action without the promise of heaven, or how many would avoid things such as 'infidelity', 'murder', 'rape', 'theft' if there was no threat of hell.
This is a ‘what if’, that would take many years to probably even begin to uncover.

Randomness continued...
I've always wondered, why in primary school the teachers would ask us to write an essay on my life as a dog,
Almost everyone would write the same thing, loyalty to mater, nice brave dog etc,
now why couldn't someone just write that they were a rabid, psychotic half-wolf-pit bull kinda dog, and how they hated human attention and just wanted to be by themselves, screw loyalty, this wolf pit bull was hungry and was driven by the desire to survive and be free?
I guess an essay along these lines would be sure to get me sent to some kind of institution, so first maybe I should prove my sanity or 'compliance with the brain washing rules of polite society, before I can truly be brave enough to stand up against it.
Or at least a psychiatrist would be sure to tell me I have issues,
so question is, do I have issues for seeing the probability of this essay a different way or should the people who willingly subject themselves to stereotype and herd mentality be the one questioning for all seeing it the same way?
The most plausible answer to this is that everyone wants to seem normal and are afraid to voice a different opinion,
As little kiddies the desire to fit in is embedded into our very soul and then it consumes us until the day we die.
What is beautiful? Appeasing to the eyes? but then again, that which appeases the eyes if seen everyday becomes commonplace and boring and fascination shifts towards that which is rare.

Very bored at 1:33am
Decided to try it and was very much surprised by the results although, I believe that the software simply compares the position and shape of the face.
I wanted it to tell me that I had a unique face and nobody looks like me or that I do not resemble anyone but unfortunately it came up with matches and gave me Ashley Olsen as a top match! Geeze, she's a kid!
But I guess thats a drawback to being human, we are of the same species and there will be obvious similarities in our phenotype no matter how hard we try to find differences.
tell me what you think and do try?
The first one shows where the program automatically cropped my pic and the second one I cropped it to include more of me. As you can see even though it is the same pic, there are differences.
Ps: Ignore the hair style( I am saving the planet by not wasting energy to blow dry or straight iron my hair anymore)

Lastly same day different angle results: I should mention that Mena Suvari ( I really don't know who she is ) is included in all of the results its just that my widget excludes her.

Participating
..."Do you always think this much Charlie?"
"Is that bad?" I just wanted someone to tell me the truth
"Not necessarily, its just that sometimes people use thoughts to not participate in life"
"Is that bad?"
"Yes"...
This line kind of struck me and I've been trying to participate as well, sometime we find so many excuses to not do something if we think it over first, and then sometimes the most fun is when the thought occurs and you follow with the action.
I've been trying to participate too instead of hiding behind or in my thoughts.
sometime I simply want to turn off the thinking and once again enter fully into the world around me and breathe with it, experience it completely instead of simply existing on the outskirts, watching and observing.
The poisonous mentality behind an Honor Killing
At the same time I am posting this, I am listening to the news about an Iraqi girl that was stoned to death in an honor killing.
I am wondering what could possibly be going through the minds of those men as they kicked and beat this girl in the middle of the street to death.
I am also wondering is this story real. I am hoping that it is not.
I cannot understand the mentality of the crowd that did this or a society that would condone it.
And above all I am wondering WHAT IN HELL IS AN HONOR KILLING? How could this girl possibly disrupt the honor of all those freaks that participated in killing her, how did she dishonor them? Did they own her life that they can take it over that? ( she was seen with a man who was not the same kind of Muslim as she was, the girl was 17)
And I am wondering what would have been going through the mind of the girl, did she think that it was right that she be killed because she broke the 'rules', was she hoping that there was at least one soul in the mob that would speak up and realize that this was wrong. did she hope that no other girl would be killed this way, or no other person for that matter.
I guess it is the incidents above that makes me not want to breathe with this World, but at least I think that I can participate and try to make a teeny change or just be a little voice speaking out against atrocities such as that.

Capital Punishment-restless thoughts
You are hereby sentenced to death by ___________.
Their heart is beating, we have put in the power of men to legally stop this heartbeat.
See there is a grave problem with capital punishment- it cannot be reversed!
I am having a problem comprehending this, because death is simply death, when someone dies, they are no more.
To deem what is justice and what is correct evidence based on society and state?
How do you really find a judge, who can see all sides of the box?
How do you really find a jury?
Right and wrong relative to society, place and time.
what is right is generally accepted,
How do I then know?
I guess from my experience, it is to try and block out all the effects of society and to place myself in the shoes of that person and think based on my heart, my soul is this right?
Only then will I know
Wouldn't a life sentence with no chance of parole, be sufficient to give any 'criminal' a chance to reflect on their deeds and to live in the isolation and torment of their memories.
No what is justice? A life for a life? Well there are still wars, soldiers are still trained to kill, so why not have capital punishment.
Now I am wondering, is diplomacy a farce?

Sleepless Nights
When there is thought and logic, why is it ignored, for emotion?
When experience should enlighten a decision why then is the path so dark now.
When the soul has decided to stand alone, then why keep on searching?
In the process of untying the chains of the ego, then why was this soul trapped and betrayed by the heart?
In a lost moment of bliss, away from this ego, why then does the soul succumb to the treacherous lies of the heart?
Listening to the silence, there is the premonition of a shell that will be broken.
Now waiting, I wonder is the creature inside stronger or already dead?
Isn't it so that sometimes the most difficult battles are the ones that we fight within, trying to decide what is strength and what is weakness.
When the world is crying, do we like many others maintain the middle line of apathy, or listen to it and feel with it?

GHOSTS...
take what they want, do whatever they want...they no longer care if people think that they are crazy.
Now going back to the limitations of a body, if we weren't limited by our body, lets say we can become intangible/invisible whenever we wanted,
and never have to fear punishment, what would one do?
Now take away society, this cage that traps the mind, what if it no longer matter where were were on the social ladder, how many of us would then thread the path of 'insanity' and quench the superego?
*correction Quench the ID, not superego

I cannot think of a title for this.
Today's fortune:
A well-directed imagination is the source of great deeds
So what if it isn't well directed?
and what do they mean by well directed, conforming and keeping imagination within the walls of society?
Pablo Coelho put this very nicely in "Veronkia decides to die"
There was a kingdom and one day an evil sorcerer decided to poison the village well so that the entire kingdom would go insane, so the next day everyone drank of the well except the king and queen since they had their own well. Consequently the entire kingdom was insane and the king tried to put back order in his kingdom but since his ministers and guards had also drank of the well, they thought that his behaviour was crazy and asked him to step down. The king was going to resign his post when his queen stopped him and told him to drink from the well too. So they both drank and then the kingdom became normal once gain to him and he was allowed to rule again, however the neighbouring kingdoms all thought that everyone in that particular kingdom was crazy.
I wonder how many of us, afraid to face society also drink of this well. The fear that keeps us within the boundaries of 'sanity'.
Wouldn't one relate culture as the poison in that well to a certain extent? We want a culture and we want to belong so much that when the thirst for companionship grows to an unbearable extent, or when those we love have already drank and we find ourselves alone, never understood then we take the water, ignoring our own well. For an example think about the movie Mississippi massala, here, although we are all humans society that we live in wants to define our thought and it builds a fear inside of us to go against this, some refuse to drink from the well while others gladly imbibe the poison and then try to force it on others.
I know that the movie is a bit of a bizarre example but think about it.
now applying this to society, religions and man, if you do not conform you are crazy right? Independent thought has been a stigma throughout history. Now apply this to man and decide what gives us the right to decide what is acceptable and what isn't.
Think about this story (note: its paraphrased ) and do please do read the book, it is awesome!

Thoughts on the restore point
Reflecting on this I am glad that I lost them.
having held on to them so long, now I am finally free.
thinking about the immortality of words, the destruction of these files somehow helped me to let go and focus more.

Thinking...
everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives but none about his or her own."---Paulo Coelho The Alchemist
This one little paragraph struck me quite suddenly and then I thought about cultures and society and how much I despise it, not actually despising it for what it is but the way in which it tries to force the mind to think a certain way and act a certain way.
I wish to be able to see the world through the un-tainted eyes of a newborn.

Perfect Match
you will know your perfect match when you find them because you will be with them:D
yesterday I was telling my mom that how I will stay single forever since I cannot seem to find anyone who understands me, her answer was simple yet made the world of sense.
simply well make yourself be understood then. You have identified the problem now fix it.
at first I was a little annoyed at this answer because I thought that it meant changing who I am, until mummy explained that it just meant trying to explain where I am not understood not just expecting the world to know.
Mother really do know best, don't they.
An excerpt from the song " The Origin Of Love" written by Stephen Trask
"...Last time I saw you
We had just split in two.
You were looking at me.
I was looking at you.
You had a way so familiar,
But I could not recognize,
Cause you had blood on your face;
I had blood in my eyes.
But I could swear by your expression
That the pain down in your soul
Was the same as the one down in mine.
That's the pain,Cuts a straight line
Down through the heart;
We called it love.
So we wrapped our arms around each other,
Trying to shove ourselves back together.
We were making love,
Making love.
It was a cold dark evening,
Such a long time ago,
When by the mighty hand of Jove,
It was the sad story
How we became
Lonely two-legged creatures,
It's the story ofThe origin of love.
That's the origin of love."

one night of peace
I wondered about all the little children all over the world who could not enjoy a peaceful nights sleep without having to fear that they will be ambushed during the night, had to worry about waking up to work in a field or as a child prostitue, taken to a training camp to learn real warfare , having their childhood stolen from them, to wake up without knowing that there is a meal waiting for them.
I thought about the 8h that I slept peacefully and I wondered how many children are denied even that simple luxary simply because of man's intolerance.

Musing
In the real world one has to sit and think about the problem at hand and then formulate their own possible choices and then select the best one, not choose from a list of already made choices.
In my view multiple choice exams are building the road to a future generation of functional illiterates. One should be evaluated on their ability to think, not guess.
okies 2h later...
so I wanted to continue, yeah there are pros to MC tests, like ease of grading, trick questions, forcing one to think harder etc
I'm tired now

confusion the beginning...
What is it to feel this fear, this growing insanity? Can we prevent this, like nipping a budding cold? Yes there are some who claim they can help but in the long run is there really anyone who can control the mind of another? No, you have to first grant the permission for this to occur and succumb to the thoughts of another. Sever the bond that secures the mind to the soul. Does the heart really care about the deeds of the mind and soul? What about the soul? A rather selfish entity. It is the essence of who we are, therefore, am I selfish? I do not know, it is so much easier to not care, to just leave it to the spontaneity of cause and effect, maybe then pain will not roam free like a malignant cancer growing and growing, taking over our being.
A thunderous cloud hovers over us all, how can others not feel this fear, the impending insanity that accompanies life? Maybe its a punishment but its also ecstatic pain, a lust for life, a wanting to feel need for the pain. Maybe then we'll know that we are human after all and it gives us a need to care to believe. Karma or destiny whichever nomination you choose, gift or curse, I do not know but, it offers the being something tangible, to know to care to feel love and to give it, a narcissistic heart, an apathetic being, only wanting the joy for itself, a hunger to be known, to be loved or hated, the need for your presence, being to be acknowledged. I am telling you we all are selfish and maybe already feeling the treacherous bite of insanity.
To feel this lust, wanting the experience of it. A wild passion, knowing that you are on the fringe of insanity. Close enough to know the love of life but with the wisdom to accept the pain. We should envy those who already have crossed the line, broken the bond, succumbed to the lust and lure of the unknown. The unleashed mind in all its fury, thoughts roaming in eternity, a vast wilderness, where can we seek refuge from our own insanity? In the heavens, shall we hide, cower like a bird in a cage, or roam free like our minds with the madness to escape. I'll stop now and begin...
We can only feel happiness for a short time, the actual moment of joy or fleeting memories of pleasure from our past. They say that we must be content at all times, how can we feel the joys and pleasure that life offers if we cling to the bitter sweetness of pain and cruelty that we attach ourselves to and love more than the hedonistic things that we crave. Shall love flourish in this world where we only care about ourselves. Accepting one’s love is far less complicated than creating and sharing love with another. We are unable to trust. Love flourishes on trust so here we are presented with a cull de sac. I will tell my story now…

Thoughts on vison and sanity
Tying you down, like iron ropes tugging at a little kite.
Imagine the sensation of just breaking free. Confusion reigning rampant in my head
I want to scream and lose my mind. I want to break something I want to shout, what stops me? What is this stupidity called sanity. Why does one need to care? They divide personality, why can’t I destroy the ego and superego. Is that what makes us human? I have seen animals far more capable of controlling the id that man. Or maybe it is the id that makes us man, that principle of survival, lust and greed.
Define torture, torture simply is sanity. Has anyone ever tortured themselves by ignoring society’s definition of sanity? When is the insane man unhappy? You have a new idea, a different view therefore you are insane, but look at this insanity as truth, it is bliss, happiness. Imagine a world where you can take whatever form you pleased, in your head you will fly.
Look into a mirror you see yourself, now what if those eyes were ripped out of their sockets and darkness shrouded you. Did I just take a way the image or did I leave it branded like a hot iron in your mind forever. What if I stole the mirror and you were never given a reflection again? What then.
Take a look at yourself in the mirror right now, what if sight left you, would you then not be able to see, perceive? You would not know what you looked like? Of course the very image given in the mirror was made by you so would you say that the image in your head is less true that the one in the mirror?
What if I said that is blue and you said not its pink. How do we actually know if the color even exists? How do you tell color by sight??? Or can we measure the wavelength? Ask yourself first did the color actually exist. Is there really a wavelength or is it just a madeup truth for the scientific world. What if I could make that longer somehow then I can make purple red? Did I just do that? Why do we have to see to believe?
What if in the mind a life began, a story was written, would you then tell me it is untrue because no one else saw or felt it? What if it is my truth? My story sealed forever in a mind that wants it o be true to be perfect. How do we define reality? If the majority of us denies that we ever saw, smelled, touched it then its not real?
What if to one person it is there, an image in the mind reflected like a hologram in their path. To them it is real, what if that person were you? Society like a big dark cloud, hovering over the masses everyday getting a little denser and lower until one day we are all clones intellectually, taught to think one day, told to believe what is real.
