Some thoughts, mainly random rantings. I was 23 when I started this blog, and as time goes on some thoughts will remain the same, some views may change when I am no longer the observer but actually the performer, in this play that is life. These thoughts simply reflect a bit of the chaos that plays through my mind every day as I take a moment to observe the little details that I encounter along my path.

Should cigarette smoking be illegal?
YES
almost everyone uses wiki, so don't question it now.
from wiki:
"Carcinogens
There are 19 known carcinogenic compounds in cigarettes. "
"It has been noted that the majority of people diagnosed with schizophrenia smoke tobacco. Estimates for the number of schizophrenics that smoke range from 75% to 90%. It was recently argued that the increased level of smoking in schizophrenia may be due to a desire to self-medicate with nicotine. [3] [4] More recent research has found the reverse, that it is a risk factor without long-term benefit, used only for its short term effects. [5]However, research on nicotine as administered through a patch or gum is ongoing."
Why should it be illegal? Because there is something called second hand smoke! And I don't wanna be inhaling another's garbage!
I am purposely not posting any links. look it up yourself, there is a lot of information available, why should I limit you to one link on this toxin!
also look up effects of cigaratte smoke on sperm count
and links to sudden infant death syndrome

last time me chek'd me found that marijuana is useful for counteracting pain from cancer treatments and chemo...can me smoke me weed then? oi oi!
BTW....me absolutely hate smoking and me hate when ppl smoke around me and me hate when me have to smell their 19 carcinogens...me tinkey smoking shouldest be banned!
Is cigarette smoke injurious to health? Definitely, yes! But does that mean there should be a legal ban on smoking? I wouldn't agree to that. Not because I'm a smoker; I'm not. It's just that smoking is a personal choice which if practiced with discretion should not matter to anyone. It's smoking today, a habit; tomorrow they can legislate another even more personal aspect of our lifestyle; what then?
Hi ID, the premise for my stand was based on second hand smoke actually. I've found many smokers to be inconsiderate and I just don't want to be breathing 19 known carcinogens along with all the other good stuff that probably pervades the air today. I do not think that someone should be allowed a personal choice to directly harm another person, like DUI doesn't always cause an accident but the thing is that it can. I really don't care if an individual wants to smoke their heart out but the point is that I am being made to breathe that.
so I still hold that yes smoking should be illegal because it is toxic to me. Huge waste companies are not allowed to dump toxic chemicals in water, so too I believe smokers should not be allowed to 'dump' toxic substances into the air.
