Some thoughts, mainly random rantings. I was 23 when I started this blog, and as time goes on some thoughts will remain the same, some views may change when I am no longer the observer but actually the performer, in this play that is life. These thoughts simply reflect a bit of the chaos that plays through my mind every day as I take a moment to observe the little details that I encounter along my path.

Frosting a cake- Not literally
Imagine you are a baker, and you are in a competition to make a cake. The rules of the competition are strict since the cake will be judged on appearance, taste and appeal. Now what if some of the judges has never tasted cake and only will judge your cake based on appearance secondly what about the true chocolate connoisseur who can taste the special effort that you took to temper the chocolate and get it just right. what about the judge who has a sweet tooth and will gobble up the frosting never even bothering to taste the cake how about if you decide to not frost the cake or what about a light frosting or maybe a glaze Now what if you are desperate and you want to please the judges so badly, you doubt that there is one of them who has a taste for your special chocolate , but your cake needs to be sold! So you carefully bring out your pastry tubes and colored frosting and make the most visually appetizing cake that you can... now its on to the judges to see who will bite Yet you wait hoping somewhere that at least one of the judges will ignore the heavily frosted cake and recognize that special unfrosted cake and go straight to that one. And then what if you decide, you know what screw the judges and frost the cake a little and start distributing your special cake to everyone.

If you are a true cake maker then you'll do what the end of your post directs you toward "frost the cake a little and start distributing your special cake to everyone"; you are not in competition anymore; you're simply sharing 'a passion'.
However, if the competition is important to you then you jolly well hope the judges are worthy of their status, given that there's little else you can control.
Interesting metaphor Nandi, and nicely developed.
